The selected individual will receive excellent exposure to our events processes and across the board Mercatus operations, providing opportunities for professional growth within the broad Mercatus team.

Responsibilities include:
-Providing broad administrative support including scheduling, developing agendas, developing reports, booking reservations, processing administrative materials, and other activities to support the events team
-Coordinating with teammates and event stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate support while achieving high standards of customer service
-Assisting teammates to log and manage event data, reports and metrics including RSVP tracking and post-event reporting through Salesforce and other software systems
-Executing logistical tasks that support events (duties may include venue research, vendor coordination, compiling registration materials and assisting at event registration, and onsite event coordination)
-Assisting teammates with needs related to vendors, speakers, event attendees, and internal constituencies

Requirements Include:
-A strong interest in Mercatus Center’s mission
-Bachelor’s Degree or up to 5 years of administrative and/or event’s support experience (internship experience counts)
-Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with a strong customer service orientation
-An entrepreneurial spirit and strong work ethic, supported by commitment and follow-through
-Organized, creative, adaptable, and detail-oriented
-A strong ability to prioritize and support a team effectively
-An ability to travel within the DC Metro area to support events
-Experience with Microsoft Office suite, Salesforce, Pardot, and/or other efficiency creating software
