The Foundation Associate will join a small team dedicated to stewarding relationships with supporters and preparing written materials for current and prospective donors. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented individual who shares our commitment to advancing the ideas of freedom in America’s colleges and universities, and who seeks an opportunity to grow with an experienced team.
-Writing and editing grant proposals, reports, thank-you letters, newsletters, brochures, and other materials that motivate and inform IHS donors.
-Stewarding relationships with new and existing foundation donors through calls, visits, relationship building, and written materials
-Working to improve systems and processes to better serve our donor base.
-Ensuring quality control for all written materials.
-Interacting with the program and measurement teams to gather information of interest to donors.
This position will report directly to the Director of Foundation Relations.

-Able to prioritize and manage multiple projects

-Able to accept and give constructive feedback
-A deep appreciation for the mission and values of the Institute for Humane Studies
Preferred candidates will also have some or all of the following skills: Familiarity with Salesforce and/or querying CRM databases, and experience with fundraising or similar fields such as customer relations.
