The Philanthropic Research and Database Associate advances the work of A.C. Fitzgerald & Associates by providing valuable research services to clients and keeping client database records organized and relevant, in order to enhance relationships with current, past, and future clients.
Work directly with clients and consultants to develop and deliver high-quality research products, including individual, foundation, and corporate research, as well as competitive analyses, compensation reviews, etc.
Track top philanthropists, as well as high-dollar donors for clients; regularly share information with team
Assist with client prospecting through research and preparation of prospect portfolios
Develop strategies for foundation and individual prospects
Manage external research resources
Identify ways for research services to be its own profit center for the firm
Optimize the SalesForce database, including expanding the data, customizing fields and training staff; maximize all aspects of Salesforce, and integrate the system and all ACF&A staff into future database expansions
Oversee information-sharing and storage in client records
Create and generate reports through Salesforce, including reports on activities, updates, moves management, and sales projections, etc.
Develop and then manage a plan for logging all pertinent client (and their donor) information in the database
Work directly with the Communication and Operation teams to incorporate their workflow plans and storage elements into Salesforce
Supervision: Supervise all subcontract researchers and database entry assistants
At least 2 years of related work experience
Research and fundraising skills required
Knowledge of the Freedom Movement and donor base a plus
Expertise in Microsoft Office (Mac operating system experience, required)
Knowledge of SalesForce, FoundationSearch, Wealth Engine, or IWave a plus
Excellent proofreading and communication skills
Detail orientated; team player
Strong problem-solving skills; takes initiative
Ability to prioritize projects and multi-task
Education: Bachelors degree required
