The Institute for Humane Studies seeks an intellectually curious, organized person with a proven ability to manage projects to join our Student Programs team. This role will involve working closely with university professors and other academic partners, in addition to several internal teams, to plan and manage the execution of extracurricular educational events and programs on campuses across the United States.

Ideal candidates will possess a basic grasp of and serious interest in classical liberal ideas, with at least one year of experience in liberty-advancing non-profits or in the field of higher education preferred. The candidate must have prior experience managing projects, the ability to drive timelines and meet deadlines, an unwavering attention to detail, and strong communication and interpersonal skills. S/he should be comfortable working in a highly collaborative environment, driving effective coordination and communication among multiple internal as well as external stakeholders.

This position will be located at our office in Arlington, VA and requires travel to school campuses throughout the year (~30%).

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

-Oversee a portfolio of student programs, developing a campus-by-campus vision and investment strategy, to increase opportunities for students to discover and deeply explore classical liberal ideas
-Develop individual program themes, formats, etc. based on interests and needs of individual faculty partners
-Build and maintain relationships with new and prospective faculty partners within portfolio of campuses, vetting incoming inquiries as appropriate
-Lead a cross-functional internal team, coordinating highly effective logistical execution and a superior collaborative experience with faculty and other external partners
-Manage budgets, ensuring strategically effective allocation and responsible stewardship of financial resources.
-Provide onsite direction and support at events and programs at college campuses throughout the school year, engaging intellectually with faculty partners and participants
