Institute for Humane Studies at George Mason University , Arlington, VA
The Institute for Humane Studies (IHS) seeks a Web Strategist/Platform Manager to support a growing community of university scholars across the country in advancing a better understanding of the principles of classic liberal ideas--including a free and open society, free speech and open inquiry--and helping them to flourish on college campuses.

As most eligible candidates will be aware, the role of a Web Strategist/Platform Manager is layered and multifaceted. You'll not only troubleshoot, debug and problem solve; you'll be the proactive developer who works hard to make sure issues don't happen in the first place. This role is the keeper of the IHS digital footprint across domains and is accountable for the performance, experience, content maintenance, servers, workflows, and the latest technologies while also juggling positive interactions with the IT department and other internal teams as well as external partners and providers.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Communications, the Web Strategist/Platform Manager is responsible for maintaining our websites to ensure a smooth user experience, capturing and reporting the data necessary to stay in front of our audiences and ahead of the curve. This position will work closely with the dedicated analytics team to track, measure, and report on the performance of IHS web properties. -Apply the needs and nuances of the teams they support to the larger vision, strategy, and objectives of the organization.

The ideal candidate will:

-Demonstrate a record of success managing internal and external web systems for a growing organization.
